Moderator broncovet Posted July 23, 2011 Moderator Share Posted July 23, 2011 I think the Deluca Factor goes something like this: Remember, that for things like joint issues, such as the knee, the C and P doc often measures the range of motion. In other words, how much can you bend your knee. You rating for that joint will be based upon how much "loss of use" do you have on that knee. When the doc does the exam he will have you bend your knee. With "Deluca", the Doc is supposed to stop when you have bent your knee enough to cause pain. Other wise, they can just say..well you can move that knee just fine. Oh, no! They have to stop and measure your loss of range of motion when the pain starts. Someone can chime in if thats wrong.
