Development Stage To Closed In One Motion!

Missed a phone call from my VARO today. They left no message, so I went to Ebenefits site to see if anything was there about what they might have wanted.Claim still says development stage but everything but one item all had a closed date of todays date. Do they sometimes just skip logging down the middle stages and go straight to closed? I figured since my Congress Critters will be coming back to work next week, the VA wanted to show that they have been busy little Beavers.Anyone ever see them process a claim this way? They have me totally confused as to what to think.All ideas are greatly appreciated.Mike

If they had enough evidence to work it that fast, it's possible.

KIM that involving your congressionals, much like when i was on active duty and waiting for my MEB/PEB fiasco, usually slows things down rather than speeds things up.

Just a guess but everyone likes to tell you good news to your face and the bad gets sent by letter. The fact they called you the same day your status changed I read as a good sign. JMHO.....

Thanks all for the input! It's been a long 13 months.The VSOs in this area are only good for political in fighting umoung themselves so I took this adventure on by myself. Any and all denials will be handled by a professional( Mary Anne Royle) next time.

Tried the 800#, but I can never get thru after about 11am Mountain time.

Deanbrt, funny I never even considered your idea. I guess they have had me convinced that they were heartless droids.Last year I asked one of the 800 operators if they ever were allowed to give out positive info and they said yes.Since then I felt lucky if they gave me any info.

I had my 2nd C&P exam last week with a Dr I felt was actually interested in my input. My first exam was a joke. So maybe he was the deciding factor. Thank you all for your input. I'll post the results as soon as I can confirm them.Mike
