Cellulitis?

Question

I am thinking about putting a claim in for the 5 times while in service I got cellulitis. I had it so severe in my knee they had put a drain in and I was on light duty for 1 month. I was cut in 3 spots on side of knee to rid of infection and put drain tube in. I also had golf ball size pocket under arm which was in boot camp. I have scars from all areas and the 3 holes on knee still bother me if pushed on or bumped. I told my rep at DAV and he wasnt sure if I should even put in for this as a claim. I never had cellulitis before service and got it 5 times while in. Any opinions on this

If you go to the main VA web site and then to the Index and then click on Board of Appeals decisions, there are some cellulitis claims there. (put cellulitis into the BVA search engine)

This claim, while denied, gives info as to how the VA rates this condition.:

simply "They(the US Army)have guns, but so do we."

Sameo to us -They (VA) have 38 CFR ,38 USC, and M21-1- but so do we.

I had cellulitis in my foot. I had to have surgery. I still have pain. If you still have painful scars in your knee or anywhere else that limits your abilites then you probably have a claim. Did the military put you on IV anti-biotics?
