HadIt.com Elder evandc Posted October 7, 2011 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted October 7, 2011 As a Prostate Cancer I appreciate any test that I had for PSA, DRE & that scope & the 43 radiation treatments. Without them & one sharp PCP I probably would be pushing up flowers in a grave yard somewhere. I'll take the risk to be checked.
HadIt.com Elder Pete53 Posted October 7, 2011 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted October 7, 2011 I only think that they will suspend routine psa testing but for those with family history or already have prostate cancer I am pretty sure they will continue the test. What has their panties in a bunch is that they don't like paying for testing that only fines a few with prostate cancer. I don't think I have had a psa test in 5 years so this is not exactly a new thing Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.
SP4RVN1971
I guess this task force has nobody with Prostate cancer! The psa test is giving me probably 5 years more on my life starting in 2008. The prostate cancer is at stage 4. If I had not took the test as evandc said." pushing up flowers 2 years ago. Vietnam Vet's should get check, because prostate cancer can cause , Brain, Bone, lung, liver cancer's , ETC.
