Sounds like a decision was made, You might ask your VSO to check into it for you.

Veterans deserve real choice for their health care.

i just don't understand, just spoke to someone on the 800# and they said that they sent out a notification letter on friday the 25 here in Fla, and i have nothing. Can someone tell me if there is a time span betwwen the time it shows going out and the time they do send it out???? I don't have a VSO. My RO is in Fla , mail they send today i have next day. I have been checking my bank accout for direct deposit because some say they sometimes get there benifits before the letter comes???? any advice would be helpful.

Thank You all

they said that they sent out a notification letter on friday the 25 here in Fla, What that means, really, is that the letter was generated on Friday November 25 and (hopefully) was put into the internal RO distribution system at that same time. Once the letter gets to the RO's mail room (maybe on that same day but more probably on Monday November 28), it is placed in an envelope, postage attached, etc., and then placed into the mail system (maybe on the 28th, maybe on the 29th). Then, a uniformed representatives of the USPS will send it your way. As another poster mentioned, "patience, patience, patience".

I have been checking my bank accout for direct deposit because some say they sometimes get there benifits before the letter comes???? It is possible to receive an award before you receive the notification letter, depending on the processing cutoff date for checks/direct deposits. As I recall, the cutoff was about mid-month, so it isn't likely that an award would arrive before the letter in your case.

Finally, and not to be negative, a notification letter doesn't always contain what you want.

So, patience, patience, patience.
