Question

I'm writing on behalf of my husband as I need advice on what to do. My husband is in the VA ICU for a condition yet to be diagnosed. He is currently 70% due to PTSD, back, knees, and hearing -- none of which is the root cause for his current condition. If he is hospitalized for a condition unrelated to his disability, can we file for temporary 100% disability? Any advice is most appreciated!!!

"VA ICU for a condition yet to be diagnosed"

That is a scary statement.

Once there is an actual diagnosis- maybe then there could be a link to one of his SC conditions.

The short answer is no. Now you may want to have them check and see if any of his pain meds is causing the problems. That is what was at the root of my dad. it took the VA 6 months to find it out. them it could as it was due to the meds for back or something.
