killemall
im 30% hearing loss and 10% tinitus. I applied for smc k two years ago on the basis that I cant use the phone or order food at restuarantes ect. And my wife and children do this kinda stuff for me. Ive submitted letters frm my wife and children as well as a friend. My coworker and supervisor also wrote letters saying that they aid me at work on a daily basis. I know my combined 40% rateng is low but trust me when I say 40% for your ears is very very hard of hearing. Severe hearng loss but still not deaf. Im in the preparation for decision phaze and expect the big envelope in a week or so. You think I fit the requierments for he k award?
HadIt.com Elder jbasser Posted June 10, 2012 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted June 10, 2012 The criteria is this: deafness of both ears, having absence of air and bone conduction, So I dont think it is going to happen. J A Veteran is a person who served this country. Treat them with respect. A Disabled Veteran is a person who served this country and bears the scars of that service regardless of when or where they served. Treat them with the upmost respect. I do. Rejection is not a sign of failure. Failure is not an option, Medical opinions and evidence wins claims. Trust in others is a virtue but you take the T out of Trust and you are left with Rust so be wise about who you are dealing with.

stillhere
I am 70% hearing loss and 10% tinnitus and I don't get smc-k for hearing loss I get it for my other organ. It is only like 90 bucks more a month. Why not try for a higher rating for hearing loss? Just asking??
