Question

I medicaly retired from the army at 84% in Dec 2010 which I believe was a bit low concidering all the stuff that happened to me but I am hoping the VA will do better by me.

I have just finished my C&P exam lasr week and recieved most of my results trying to make sense of it all. any thoughts advice any of you would have will be great, since I feel a little alone on this whole VA thing.

axis 1 ?, mets 1-3? and what do they rate or do about low vision as I wrote it below? all this stuff was in the Dr.s notes how much weight does it carry in determining my rating ..I mean will they rate all that stuff? the only thing I am waiting on now is me mental heath acessment, it shoud be comming soon.

they have me down for diabities type 2 or DM

cornary artery disease

conjestive heart failure

cardiomegaly

ventricular arrithmia

IHD

Atrial fibulation

cardiac dialation

with a mets 1-3

I have a pacemaker/defib in my chest

also my R kne is flex 100 w pain at 90

spinal asteophyosis with lumbar radiculopathy front 60 L 20 and R 15

they rated my axis at 1 with occupational and social imparment depressed mood cronic sleep impairment

mild meory loss short and long term

flattened effect with difficulty understanding complex commands

also stated the I cant work

the eye doctor wrote that I should be tated for low vision as my central vision is gone and that drive and read are difficult if not impossible

other things included where insomnia and persistant daytime hypersomnilence

I havent recieved my mental healthe C%P yet but , I expect it to be more on the depression.

as you can see I have been through a lot any help in understanding what all this stuff means would help a lot

thank you in advance,

SGT Emmons ( RET)

When did you retire and was this stuff discovered on Active duty or within the presumptive period?

If the heart disease was then your looking at 100 percent by itself.

Only 1 heart rating will be given. If you have hypertension then it will be rated separately.

I can see a SMC for you if it falls right. but first you have to prove service connection and nexus to the military.

A Veteran is a person who served this country. Treat them with respect.

A Disabled Veteran is a person who served this country and bears the scars of that service regardless of when or where they served.

Treat them with the upmost respect. I do. Rejection is not a sign of failure. Failure is not an option, Medical opinions and evidence wins claims. Trust in others is a virtue but you take the T out of Trust and you are left with Rust so be wise about who you are dealing with.

it's all SC I hade the Heart Attack while in the Army with a 4 way By-pass was in a coma for a month and had a stroke while in the coma I woke up with the center of my vision missing and diabities along with all this heart stuff... It;s all fully documented and most of my treatment was from the VA while I was on active duty.

and what is SMC? I take it that's it's some kind of payment? how much is that ?

thank you for your response :)
