I ask you and other this question because you seem to know a lot about side effects of meds. I am suffering documented side effects of a number of the medications I take from the VA. The pain medications, in particular, cause all kinds of side effects including depression, GERD, and even falling. The Va wants me to go to a Falling Clinic of some sort. Would these conditions be service connected since the meds the VA is giving me are causing new conditions? I am getting sick of the VA billing my insurance for conditions they are causing. Should I file for all these secondary conditions due to the meds they are giving me?

Absolutely-John- and the falling- that could cause even more prblems if you broke a leg or something.

This is a remand and it shows what they are looking for in this case-as to whether the veteran's HBP meds are causing additional disability.

What is odd here is that they ask the doc on remand to actually determine the rate of disability (quantify)due to meds-if they are opined to be causing secondary condition-

"If

aggravation of the nonservice-connected

headache disability by the service-

connected DM or hypertension, or

medications prescribed for the management

of either disability, is found, the

doctor should attempt to quantify the

degree of additional disability resulting

from the aggravation."

This vet got impotence secondarily Sced by the BVA to HBP meds:
