Berta
You might find what you need here: http://www.imenet.com/ Also have you listened to our radio shows with Dr. Bash in the SVR archives here at hadit? Dr. Bsh ,as a former VA doctor, has rovided excellent IMOs and IMEs for countless veterans overt the years. Here is his site: http://www.craigbashmd.com/ He did IMOs for me that were superb. I won that claim. Try this link too: http://expertpages.com/experts.php/independent_medical_examiner_south_carolina.htm A doctor ,not familiar with IMOs for VA claims, should follow the IMO criteria here in our IMO forum and use the specific key wording as to 'as likely as not' , or ' more than likely' etc etc and give a complete medical rationale. It also hels that they provide a CV and also citations from medical treatises and/or texts. Link to comment

doogie
My DR would not write me a IMO for three years. One day i walked in and sat him down and explained that he did not have to be 100% sure but only 51% sure and that he would not have to make an appearance at the VA . That made all the difference , he immediatly said {well! in that case i will write your letter for you} I gave him a sample IMO that i wrote from a internet sample giving him what he needed to write including the most important words any IMO can contain and i stressed how important it was to put that phrase in at least once,he inserted it in the letter 2 times {AS LIKEY AS NOT connected to his military service} along with proper documentation and evidence all military history concerning the injury. I sent it to my lawyer first and got a call within a few days.the lawyer said that was one of the best nexus letters he had ever seen. So you might want to talk to your doc , and if you explain they just might do it for you. That letter only cost me $35.00 and was welll worth it. Alot of doctors won't write them anyway ,but some will , if you explain the 50% and he knows your medical history from the military. I hope this may have helped I live in NORTH CAROLIANA Link to comment
Hollis
good point and advise. My cardiology refused to write one for me 3 weeks ago. However was in his office today and was told I needed my primary doctor to start the letter and then the cardiology Dr would add his comments. But I just read Berta suggestion on using DR. BASH. I would love to know his fee first and will contact him. thanks for the info Link to comment
