"decision Vs. "decision Phase"

Rate this question

Question

I called the VA about two weeks ago and ask about the status of my claim. I was told it was awaiting a "decision". I called just yesterday and I know I spoke with the same person and I was told my claim was in the "decision phase" which I have never heard before. I am on my 270th day now regarding a TDIU claim with worsening SC's found on C&P exam. Is this something new? Or just a way of telling you its on a desk someplace awaiting its turn? Anyone gotten this kind of response?

You hit the nail on the head, its in a stack waiting to be looked at. Twice my NOD that was ready for a decision was sent back for additional medical information from the C&P examiners, that apparently would be hard pressed to pass an anatomy exam! I would also be curious as to what score they could achieve on a TOEFL exam?

I was kind of thrown off. In just two wks time my status went from awaiting a decision to decision phase. Is there a difference? Who knows. Its just a messed up mess of rewording and putting you off.

Indyman, like so many of us pending VA claims have been where you are at, as a matter a fact, I am going on 3 years since I first put in my initial claim.

March of last year I received a partial award 90% to be exact. I also put in a claim for TDIU due to my service connected disabilities, and I am going on 400 days since putting that claim in.

So you're not alone, we all feel your pain. At this point we're in the mercy of the VA, and all we can do is just pray a lot and wait on their decision.

Take care, and God Bless.

No difference - same thing.
