Sounds like ROs are still operating afterall, but at a slower pace due to an increased number of furloughed employees. They are to continue processing claims until funding is exhausted toward the end of the month. Of course, without a funding bill getting passed, none of us will receive our disability compensation on 01 November. http://www.va.gov/opa/speeches/2013/10_09_2013.asp Does appear, though, that the VA is no longer willing to pay for building services for VSOs until full funding is restored.
