daklander
Onlt problem im having is when I go to read a file thats says open with , microsoft office is there, and when I hit browse programs to use, the box pops up with other programs listed but Open Office is not in there. You'll need to locate the folder you installed Open Office into. Once there you should be able to find the start file. It will end in .exe and may well be OO.exe or something similar. One way to locate that should be in your programs menu. I stopped using Windows years ago so I'm guessing at the start up file name. Once you find it though, set a desktop icon. daklander
This site has a free download of OpenOffice. http://www.openoffice.org/ An off shoot of Open Office is LibreOffice. It was started back when OO was first purchased by Oracle and was in line to become closed source and sold like Microsoft Office. Thankfully they came to their senses and donated everything to Apache Software Foundation. During that time before the donation the many of the key programmers left and started LibreOffice.
