I am a medically retired Marine with 15.5 years. I was retired in 2006. I was under the impression that you had to have done 20 years in order to be eligible or meet a portion of the criteria for CRSC. I am 100% total and permanent. I was rewarded 30% for knee injury by Medical Evaluation Board and retired, due to an injury simulating war games. I also participated in Operation Uphold Democracy in Haiti and suffer from PTSD and depression as a result of bagging bodies as a result of a skirmish with one of our line companies. Questions: Upon filling out the claim do I file for just the 30% for my knee, or do I include all of the things (PTSD and Depression) secon…

To TBIRD/MODERATORS, I am not sure why the LHI C & P EXAM thread was completely removed. Can someone explain or give me some guidance on why it was completely removed?

Hello Brothers and Sisters, I've been rated 100% P&T since January 2003. My single largest rating is for recurrent major depression at 50% followed closely by diabetes mellitus at 40%. I have a slew of others that push me over the 100% threshold. I have developed two conditions over the past several years that I wonder if I can get special monthly compensation for? I have a severe case of dupatryn's contractures in both hands limiting my abilities to type and grasp objects. I also have a severe case of E.D. that not even injections can help with. The VA has REFUSED to even evaluate these because I am unable to control my blood sugars well. My Gastropoe…

I would like to edit (change) my profile picture (image), but I cannot figure out how to do it. I searched the site and forums several times with different search terms and settings, but no luck. I see how to edit several other profile settings (at https://community.hadit.com/profile/22364-mark-d-worthen-psyd/?do=edit ), but not the profile image (avatar, picture, etc.). TIA, Mark P.S. TIA = Thanks in advance.

I am submitting medical bills to the VA under the Foreign Medical Program. Payments have slowed to an absolute trickle. For instance I received an EOB dated 2020 May 4 with a check dated May 6 just yesterday. Looks like the check just sit for 5 months after being printed. This is not counting the bill being 4 months old before they printed the the EOB and check. I know there is the pandemic going on. Is that the reason? The amount of money I am owed is becoming a burden. Thanks.

WOW I have been looking at this for a while and I really wanted to let it go but I really do not understand. How can I have 946 liked post yet it shows I only have 730 total posts. Is this VA math? Is this my paranoia or should I have less post than liked posts? I am very used to VA's shenanigan’s, but this is off, and I do not know how to explain it. I am used to VSO’s shenanigan’s, but something is not exactly right, and I do not know what to think.

Yesterday I had C2P exam of cervical back, I was in and out 15 mins, my question is how do I get a copy of the exam? Is it usual to have a nurse practitioner to do c2p exam? Last question is that the Nurse Practitioner said I have a rating ( which I do for Lumbar) this should be a no brainer but I am very skeptical of being what is being said. Thank you, Ken

I am a VA employee (VBA) and a Veteran. I logged onto VA gov to check out the status of a claim that I filed on Feb 10 of this year. To my surprise, I saw that there was a FOIA request on there that had an updated status as of Feb 26, but the claim date was Feb 4. I did not submit anything on that date and have not submitted anything other since around July of last year prior to my claim on Feb 10. I am very suspicious of this FOIA request. I am currently going through a divorce that has been pending for approximately 9 months. The spouse has played very dirty, but thus far, nothing has gone her way. She has made outrageous allegations, i.e. that I am a wife-beater, phys…

Attorney Wants Diagnosis for Secondary Complication to Rated Condition; Must it be through VA?
Cat4Christ777 posted a question in IMO Independent Medical Opinion,
Originally, this secondary condition was claimed as 'migraines,' but while it may begin as a migraine with a complication, the VA can--and has, more than once--made it so much worse (pain-wise). If it does not qualify as a migraine, then my attorney and I need to come up with a different diagnosis. It's definitely a neurological issue, possibly 'occipital neuralgia,' as the condition meets the criteria of its definition, here: https://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/occipital+neuralgia.-

VA Math, Confusing, Right? Calculate Your Final Rating Percentage!
Tbird posted a blog entry in Tbirds Blog,
10 + 50 = 50 and other VA math mysteries explained.
VA Math It’s Not Your Mother’s Arithmetic
“VA Math” is the way that the VA computes combined impairment ratings for multiple conditions in a Veteran’s compensation benefits claim – and it requires that you unlearn real math. When a Veteran has multiple medical conditions that are service-connected and the Veterans Affairs rates each at a different percentage, it would seem that they should just add up your percentages to get to a total body impairment rating.-
