Also I am 74 years old. THANKS! That would be a stretch to pull that off, but Congress just rescinded the cut on COLA for retiree pay which passed in the first place, so one never knows. It's more likely that they'd change the criteria for future grants. But in today's budget and political environment, John999 pretty much nailed it. Stand by for heavy rolls as the ship comes about! Also I am 74 years old. THANKS! At 10 years SC becomes protected. At 20 years the percentage becomes protected. However, if they can prove fraud then that is all moot. Chances are you are good shape.
