Question

I am looking for some guesstimates of what to expect for a rating. I have no idea and it seems you guys are very knowledgeable. My claim had: tinnitus in both ears, hearing loss (USMC issued me hearing aids) but I understand it's likely 0%, instability and joint pain in both knees, instability and joint pain in both ankles and retinal holes noticed at my military PRK surgery. Also during the general medical the doc noticed my shoulder is painful and limited in motion but my DAV rep hadn't put that in there as I've never officially been seen for it. Any ideas at % rating?

If you will post your C&P exam results on here, then we can give you a pretty good idea of possible SC and %s. Without the reports, it is just a guessing game.

I am looking for some guesstimates of what to expect for a rating. I have no idea and it seems you guys are very knowledgeable. My claim had: tinnitus in both ears ,- if SC'd 10 % - bilateraly doesn't count for Tinnitus.

hearing loss (USMC issued me hearing aids) but I understand it's likely 0%, - if SC'd Zero to 10 percent.

instability and joint pain in both knees, - if SC'd Zero to 10 percent.

instability and joint pain in both ankles and - if SC'd Zero to 10 percent.

retinal holes noticed at my military PRK surgery. - if SC'd - SC'd at zero percent barring residual visual disability.

Also during the general medical the doc noticed my shoulder is painful and limited in motion but my DAV rep hadn't put that in there as I've never officially been seen for it. - if they pick up on it and rate it SC'd as they might - Zero to 10 percent.

Any ideas at % rating?

My guesstimate if SC is granted is compensation combined at a 40 percent level, perhaps a bit higher.

Thanks for the insight. I would imagine my tinnitus and HL will be SC'd just based on the VA/military issuing me hearing aids. For knees/ankles is it bilateral at 10% or do they combine the two to create 10%? Sorry for all the questions I'm very new to this process.

Who first "issued" you hearing aids -

1) DOD - on active duty

or

2) VAMC - to you, the veteran ?

Are you in receipt of any VBA disability compensation at this time ?

If yes, for what conditions and at what percentage evaluations for each,

or your combined percentage ?
