Anyone Have Their Claim Status Go To "preparation For Notification" But....

Question

still have a C&P exam scheduled? Since February 19 (date of last C&P exam), my status has moved from Gathering of Evidence to Preparation of Notification (this morning) but the VA called yesterday to schedule a C&P exam for March 16 for my sleep apnea claim. How can they wrap this up while I have an exam scheduled? I know they can split up the claim when you have multiple items on it but how can they reach a decision without all the exams complete and information gathered?

My current claim is in the same boat bud. I had the majority of C&Ps two weeks ago. The next day the claim went to Prep for Decision, yet I had a C&P on the 2/25, and still have to do an MRI on back, and a Brain Scan which neither are scheduled yet. My current claim has been Prep for Decision twice already. I am thinking that the VA will probably complete parts of our claims, and then defer the others. Good luck

Well, wonder no more! Just as soon as my status changed to Preparation for Notification this morning, it has now changed back to Gathering of Evidence! LOL! I guess part of my claim has already been ruled one and the one part that remains (Sleep Apnea) reset things back to Gathering of Evidence. I imagine that once my final C&P is done things will quickly be resolved and I will have a decision. What an interesting process. It changes more quickly than the weather.
