Question

Just had phoncon w/DAV Rep and VSO--official letter on the way--100% P&T with Chapter 35 DEA. What a monkey off my back. 31 years 2months 16d continuous Active Duty, 7 children and numerous cold war, post cold war and GWOT deployments---I'm shot--mentally and physically--but today I feel recognized and affirmed--thanks to all who listen to me and have felt and are still feeling my pain. God bless all of us and have a great Easter

Now my question:

SInce it states I am considered permanent and total--I don't have to worry about this ever being taken away--correct?? Nor do I have to keep going back for check ups and adjustments?? thanx

You are permanent but you do have to go to the VA I believe at least yearly for routine check ups and to see specialist. Congrats on the good news and God Bless!!!

Thanx NAVY04, I know you are haggard and depleeted with the system, just remember the stork and frog photo "never give up", easy for me to say with my results, all that aside, I am lucky that I receive healthcare at the First ever Federal Helathcare Center and NAVY/VA combined facility, so yes I will keep getting follow ups and care which will satisfy both the Navy and the VA.

I have Medicaid from SSDI, and Tricare from the Navy, but I use the VA for everything so they don't have any reason to keep screwing with me, so that all of my Medical Evidence and Records are kept in one place.

Yes it will come with BBE folder. Also you can look on Ebenefits home page under Disability Percentages and it will break down each condition. As far as retro depending on the amount, it usually takes a few weeks. You can look on Ebenefits under Payment History and it might tell you there how much and when.
