Question

If Arthritis is subsequently awarded/rated as a presumptive condition, are there any secondary benefits (i.e. earlier efective date or the possibility of being considered for an extra schedular rating)?

Why do you believe arthritis could be a presumptive disability?

These are the Chronic Presumptives and the list also include the POW ,Tropical, and AO regs

However ALS was added to that list in 2010, as a chronic presumptive.

AL was added the the AO presumptive list .

Did you have evidence of arthritis in your SMRs?

And evidence the arthritis was treated by documentation and consistent and chronic since service?

Im not understanding your question. "Extra schedular" applies to claims for TDIU when you dont meet the minimum statuatory ratings, and nothing to do with arthritis.

If you are service connected for arthritis, and your doctor says it caused some other health problems, then, yes, those can be secondary to arthritis.

"Presumptives" can lead to an earlier effective date in some circumstances, but, as Berta pointed out, "Arthritis" is not on the presumptive list.
