Retired77
I just finished one of my appointments and was scheduled to have surgery to alleviate the carpal tunnel problems that I am experiencing. While I hope this fixes my issue, I was curious to know what if any would be a disability rating for it. Thank you
0 Content Curator/HadIt.com Elder Vync Posted July 16, 2015 Content Curator/HadIt.com Elder Share Posted July 16, 2015 My surgery was performed by a private surgeon, not the military or the VA. In my case, I had a total of six incisions in my palm, wrist, forearm, and inner/outer elbow to provide nerve releases at various points, carpal, cubic, radial, etc.. I guess he wanted to get it all addressed in one shot. My doc did not send me to physical therapy. I was instructed to perform repetitive brushing exercises to help stimulate the nerves. The pain has reduced, but never went away. Feeling has definitely increased, but I fatigue easily. Not sure if this helps, but I hope it does.
