Question

Hi All,

This morning, ebenefits was pending decision dispatch. Now it says this:

12/17/2015Remanded AppealYour appeal has been sent back for further development by the Board to the Appeals Management Center or to the office that made the original decision on your case.

Does anyone know what this entails? Is this bad? Any info would be appreciated.

If it is the AMC, then there is no telling. I hope it does not take that long.

that's what I asked the DAV director. He said that used to be the case years ago. Now, he said he's extremely familiar with the AMC timeline. Based on my case, he said it can take up to 6 months.

Happy New Year. Case is at the AMC. Retro should take up to 6 months 8(.

Then, who knows how long it will take to fix the remanded part (PTSD effective date).

There you go, now you know. Good luck!

It seems pretty crazy that the new percentage, 70 to 80% isn't changed immediately. I can understand the backpay part, especially since AMC has to do it.

The remanded part, PTSD effective date has an unknown timeframe. Argh...

Well, you know how the government works - slow! First, they have to outsource it to the local 8th grade class. Next, they have to make copies of everything in triplicate. And then they have to use their secret decoder rings and a slide rule to make sense of the rating schedule.

Regardless of what decision they make, be sure you read it carefully and compare it to the rating criteria to verify they didn't lowball your decision.

Lol, I should know better!!! Having worked for the government for over 12 years, the only thing I get on a consistent basis is a hard time!!!
