Keratoconus Rating

I was recently diagnosed with Keratoconus I looked in to any VA claims or connections to Gulf War service but just got confused.  I was wandering if anyone has had orknow anyone who has dealt with this and the VA and if I should bother filing a claim or am I just wasting my time.  Any help would be greatly appreciated

I believe the VA will rate you on  your corrected vision only?

As for as getting it SC...You need a nexus from a qualified Dr stating its least likey as not cause from your prior military service.

If your not sure on filing a claim for it  I would suggest  do it anyway....if denied  then take the reason they denied and get it corrected

Thanks, I went for lasik and Dr told me I didn't qualify because of it and then told me it may be due to the environmental condition during the gulf a combination of the sand and chemicals and of course the eye rubbing

Hi did you have any luck? I have filed every which way and just got denied again with a higher level review. My last option for now is the board and I'm going to get a lawyer. Just wanted to know the jist of your situation and how it's going?
