0 Berta
Hip pain and problems can certainly be caused by biomechanics of flat feet. But I found this condition (the syndrome,), not to have any diagnostic code.I think Buck's info made the point that it is transient and not a chronic disability. I think with the 30% now ( I assume that is bilateral rating , for 'pes planus') , that you could go over this BVA decision to determine if you fit into the higher rating for flat feet http://www.va.gov/vetapp16/Files2/1615242.txt I also assume you wear orthotics. Have they been adjusted lately? I have severe pronation and flat feet but I am not a vet. I do know however that severe pes planus issues can cause considerable back, knee ,and hip problems if they are not corrected with prescribed orthotics as well as often with the use of braces. www.bva.va.gov, under their search feature for pes planus would have some decisions there that might also have the hip syndrome as part of the overall rating. 0 Bizmark
Thanks for the info. Yes, I have the latest orthotics that VA supposedly offers which I find uncomfortable with most of my shoes. The 30% rating is bilateral for pes planus and plantar fasciitis.
