Remanded issues

Question

So just this month alone I have had 4 days blocked off for just the doctors to look at my claim. I was notified twice by the RO I am not required to go but it was for the doctors to review my notes. I also have a 5th scheduled for tomorrow yet again not supposed to go. What is it that is really being reviewed that I am not required to be there.

jfrei - RO possibly has all the exams needed, and just need to doctor to make an IMO statement.  I too recently had a remanded appeal and their was one of my issues where the RO requested a VA doctor to review and provide another opinion on the case.  I went into my health records through eBenefits and was able to see what the VA Doc opinioned on after about 5 days.   Best wishes.

Doctors dont "look at your claim".  Claims decisions are made by rating specialists at VA.  Doctors provide favorable or unfavorable evidence.

Yes, you should read your c and p exams, and medical data to ensure the Caluza triangle are met:

1.  Current diagnosis

2.  In service event or aggravation.

3.  Nexus (at least as likely as not) or link between 1 and 2.

Reading your notes ahead of time will save you time.  If you dont have a valid nexus, you will need one before you get SC, and you should consider an IME/IMO.
