Getting the report from your C & P Exam

I had my C & P last month.  I asked the Docs office if I could have a copy of his report and they said they can't do it.  So I asked my VSO is there was an easier (faster) way of getting it from the VA and he said "The exam is part of your VA files.  You must request it in writing (as an FOIA request).  Unfortunately, it's not a quick turn-around. 

There has got to be a fast way.   Any suggestions???

Just go to release of information, or download it from MyHealthVet blue button. It's usually under the section for VA notes.

Is that on "My HealtheVet.Com"??   And I'm guessing it takes awhile for the record to show up right???

Sometimes a few weeks, but usually within a week or two. My psych notes from weekly spots, too.

If your exam was done by an outside contractor, you will not be able to get a copy of it until a decision is made on your claim. If the VA did it then it will show up under the blue button within a few days.

My C&P exam was Tuesday, Aug 30. The results were up on Healthvet, notes this morning. OSA was a slam dunk. Sinusitus, not so much. I will post redacted copies on my stream later today. It was not done at the VA.

GOod point. I always forget that. I live in NE and we are a relatively sparsely populated region for veterans compared to someplace like TX or FLA or CA. Ive never had a C&P that wasn't done at the VA med center in Omaha or in LIncoln.
