quesonsniper
I think I asked my previous question wrong. Do I qualify according to the 100% P&T plus 60% rule (actually 86% combined) for housebound status? I am currently receiving SMC K & S .
0 HadIt.com Elder Buck52 Posted April 5, 2018 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted April 5, 2018 (edited) quesonsniper Please stay in your original post about your question on A&A Benefits According to your post above if you recieve SMC K & S your already getting House bound benefits.& Loss of use of a body organ. For A&A ,Again you will need this The Aid & Attendance pension is available to honorably discharged wartime veterans with 90 days of active duty, and their surviving spouses. In order to qualify for A&A, your physician needs to establish that you require daily assistance with tasks such as dressing, undressing, bathing, cooking, eating and other necessary daily living activities that you can't do for yourself. Having SMC S & K don't qualify you for A&A You need to meet the A&A Criteria Qualifications stated above. Or go to the VA Website VA.GOV & Click on A&A Criteria/'Eligibility. 0 Moderator broncovet Posted April 5, 2018 Moderator Share Posted April 5, 2018 If you are getting SMC S, then you are already getting "housebound". As Buck says, for you to go to a higher level of compensation, the next level would be A and A.
