Finding an IMO

Question

I'm new here.  Today I visited a claims rep.  Went well today.  Said we need to blow the doors open to new material with a IMO.  So I call Mayo, they want a referral.  I call the VA Urology.  They want me to be referred to them to refer me to Mayo.  My primary care won't give a referral to them without coming in for a appointment.

I explained, I got the diagnoses.  I'm happy with my treatment.  I need a medical opinion on the cause, a review of medical history, a form filled out and a high five.  And.. nothing.

Urology is the least of my worries though.  I'm truly afraid of the process for dermatology.  Any suggestions or advice?

An IMO/IME is an independent medical opinion you pay for.  You dont need a referral for that, you just need money.  Some will wait until you get your benefits, but others want money up front for their opinion.
