I think it rings true now loud and clear, about way back in the day, with early military foreign or domestic service combat or non combat not going to sick call or go get an ankle or foot checked out from Bruise or Cut And Most of us never thought about reporting our injuries back then  to prove a claim today  some of the guys did but Most of us just sucked it up and went on (It never entered my mind I could get compensation from being injured back then)

Looking Back Now I wish the hell I had reported things every time I got hurt or had an injury eh!

..I have arthritics in both my knees pretty bad  and I blame it on falling off the bumper of a Deuce and Half   landing on my knees on rocks...I never reported that but I limb around there for days..no records  no claim.

I had a VA Dr specialist tell me that is possible why I have the arthritics in both my knees today,  service connecting it is next to impossible without Medical records.

Had I reported it.I'd be getting comp for it today.

I tell all my grandsons &other young men that are in the military today to report any and all Injuries   even if you just stump your toe or have a fall  go report it and grab and hang on to that medical record.

it may come in handy someday.
