Question...
I lost my private insurance yesterday, because I am retiring in a month or so, and I needed to get a new plan for just the wife, a medicare advantage plan, which I have done already.
I will be on VA healthcare for the next two years until the wife and I go on Tri-Care for Life.
How do I tell the VA that I do not have private insurance anymore?
I hesitate to do anything until my pending claim(s) come back, because, if I submit something saying I do not have private insurance anymore, they will make that a claim and muck the works up.
Or, should I just wait until I go to either the VA clinic or the VA hospital and tell them then?
I did tell the C&P examiner that I would be loosing my PI in the future and she thought that I would be able to keep my local cardiologist as that "my" VA hospital dose not have any cardiologists in house and I could possibly go local through choice. But that is another matter for another day.
Thanks,
Hamslice
