AO IHD . Do I have what I need to file ?

Rate this question

James G.

Question

I have had a recent CT scan (at the VA ) of my chest , and the report says:

"Thoracic aorta and great vessels : Atherosclerosis "

also "Heart and pericardium : Severe coronary artery calcification".

also "Patent major vasculature, with atherosclerotic disease".

And a CT scan of my head  (at the VA ), and the report says :

"There is deep and periventricular white matter hypodensity suggestive of chronic microvascular disease".

I am hoping to file for AO IHD . So what if anything do I file for and what other medical information do I need before I file ? Do I file now ?I appreciate any and all advice . I am 50% SC for hearing (40%) and tinnitus (10%) . I have ulcerative colitis and severe COPD and on oxygen .I am "boots on the ground ".

There is a more updated post to this-

James does look good for AO comp!

As I mentioned before James- if you were ever denied for IHD or CAD in the past, Footnote One of Nehmer ( explained in our AO forum) will garner you the best effective date for compensation.

Also I think this email is still open:

agentorange@nvlsp.org

And many of us used it , who were Footnote One claimants.

NVLSP won Nehmer and will thoroughly review your decision , with no fee ( they are a pro bono law firm)  if you are a Footnote One claimant, and they will make sure the EED is correct.

They recently opened this email ,as well:, due to the new HR299 regulations, still in progress, bluewater2019@NVLSP.org

It seems that Footnote One will definitely kick in for BWN AO vets!
