Question

Hi. My name is Mick. 22 years in Air Force. I just received my new disability compensation leter. 100 percent hearing and 10 percent hypertension. I think that puts me in the 95 percent category.  Is this correct. Also I receive an Air Force retirement check, can i now receive a separate VA check, also? Making it two checks. Thanks for any help ahead of time.

Hi Mick. Welcome aboard. Not sure what you are saying. If you have 100% plus anything it's 100%. What does your decision letter say specifically? Does it talk about education or TRICARE bennies for your dependents?  Say permanent and total anywhere? If you were awarded 90% +10% you would have a combined rating of 90%. 100% rating means you basically can't hear anything; pretty severe obviously, and not awarded often.   Do you have Miniere's disease? Just wondering if we are missing something here.
