hurryupnwait
I m thinking of traveling to Costa Rica for 3 months so my wife can see her family. The biggest issue is meds. 1. Should I request a 3 month supply from my PC NP? I m not sure if they can do this? 2. Should I use the Foreign Medical Program, see a doctor in Costa Rica to get my meds filled there and then send in the paperwork for reimbursement, all my meds are for service connected issues? 3. Same as previous but forget about the FMP reimbursement and pay for them myself. I like the less hassle road Any ideas or suggestions, Thanks, When I count my blessings I count my family and friends twice. If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there. Well done is better than well said.
HadIt.com Elder GBArmy Posted October 6, 2019 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted October 6, 2019 (edited) hurryupnwait If you use ebennies send a note to your pcp, or, go to re-ordering prescriptions and you may be able to ask your questions there. When you use "Blue Button" for messages, my experience is that they do respond in a day or so at the most. We used to be able to be able to get most if not all prescriptions for 90 days, now 30 is common. Must be for a cost effective move I suppose. But it isn't unreasonable unless it is a controlled drug. Edited October 6, 2019 by GBArmy typo
