Closed appeal with no decision update

Question

I recently posted about my case being closed by the VA incorrectly, the law firm representing me called and the VA saw that they made an error. They sent me out letter stating that they were in error and my case has been reopened and they sent it to the correct department. I've uploaded a screenshot  and I wanted to know can someone tell me where is the (DROC) and how long do they usually take to make a decision on a case.

The DROC is the old Appeals Resource Center. It got changed over when the VA Appeals Modernization Act took effect in Feb 2019.

Here is some info about it:

Short answer:  We dont know how long it takes.  I have heard of people getting a decision in as little as two weeks, and I have also heard of people that it takes decades.  Yours will probably be somewhere in between 2 weeks and 20 years.

It "sounds" like a DRO appeal, but I dont know if there is a hearing involved or not.  (hearings take longer).

Did you ask your attorney this question?  He knows way more about your case than we do.  Way more.  He knows whether a hearing was requested, whether its DRO, HLR, SCL,  BVA, etc. etc  etc.etc.  We dont know that.

However, I "get" you want a number...I wanted to know the same thing when I applied.  My guess is that you will have an answer in 3 to 12 months, and probably somewhere in the middle of that if its not a BVA appeal (then its longer..much longer).
