Supplemental claim

I have been following hadit for about a year now since I got my denial for sc. I have a question that I hope can be answered. I was denied for adjustment disorder and now I submitted a supplemental claim, however my diagnosis are for anxiety and depression so being that I was denied for mental health I was unable to submit the anxiety and depression as a new claim. I spoke with a few vso and was told I should not worry about it as the va combine all mental health issues as one. Is this true or should I look to get a diagnosis for adjustment disorder as well. When I call to check the status of my claim anxiety and depression is never mentioned only adjustment disorder but when I bring the anxiety and depression I get told not to worry and the va will look at it.

Nope. You'' have to file it on an 20-0995 form for an appeal (if you want to submit evidence) or an -0996 if you just want them to review it.

Will this IMO be of any help ? Or should I just not upload this as part of evidence

IMHO (IN MY HUMBLE OPINION) this letter gives a few different diagnoses, but it does not give a medical opinion and medical rationale. The medical opinion is that the licensed practitioner or social worker have reviewed your records it is as least likely as not the cause of your current condition/disability and it is their opinion that your symptoms began while you were on active duty. The medical rationale is how the practitioner or social worker made this decision.

^^^^this^^^^ There can be no vagueness in an IMO. Its a definitive document of the doctor's opinion, if they are fishing for potential diagnosis, then its not an opinion, its a guess. It also needs to document how and why they came up with that opinion whether it be from observational studies of you, or knowledge of research or studies that may closely correlate with you and your condition, which then need to be cited.

Thank you. So I shouldn’t upload this nexus and should ask my therapist for a better nexus ? Correct.

I do not see how this particular letter could help.
