Every vet who has a physical disability should seriously consider filing a claim for depression.   Get to your VA shrink and/or a private shrink and start documenting.  Few disabled people escape episodes of depression.  Those with chronic pain suffer the worst.  I am speaking from personal experience.

You don't have to take the drugs.  Just accept them and then flush them.  You are trying to get extra compensation for a mental health condition as secondary to a physical injury.
