Berta
If you were on any of these ships, after the exposure dates, within the 12 mile Limit of Vietnam, and have any AO presumptives, all you will probably need is proof from your deck logs.of your exposure to Agent Orange. I posted a deck log and explained how to read it-searchable in our AO forum. https://injuredveterans.com/veteran-news/agent-orange-u-s-navy-coast-guard-ships-exposed-to-toxic-agents-during-service-in-vietnam/ It is a little more complex than that but I have already posted all you need to know in our AO forum regarding Blue Water Navy vets. 0 Berta
You are right- here is the most recent VA AO Ships list from the VA: https://www.benefits.va.gov/compensation/docs/shiplist.docx Blue Water Navy Veterans themselves got most of these ships on the list. It is SO commendable- the work they did, to prove their AO claims and I bet there are still more ships that are not on the list, and that should be. I was with the original Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Association. This veteran,on Remand in 2021, might be able to prove the ships he mentioned should be on the VA's AO ship's list-I am sure the USS Sterett was not on the list- have friend who servered on that ship actually they might be but I have no time to check that- and I would assume the BVA already did....but not sure-hope they did https://www.va.gov/vetapp21/files1/21002133.txt Edited April 13, 2021 by Berta
