ptsd Levitra

Evere since I began taken multiple medications to treat my PTSD, my sex life has decreased to the point that I have no such desire. Three weeks ago I went to see my doctor at the mental health clinic and I told him what was going on and his reply was to let my personal doctor know. Yesterday I finally saw my doctor at the VA and told him, he send me to get lab work done to check my hormones and he stated that he was going to prescribe me some Levitra. Has anybody taken this medications and is anybody going through this same problem, that can give me advice in what to expect. Thanks, any advice will help.

Between the PTSD meds & Blood Pressure meds many of us have ED. The Levitra is worth a try. They often start you off with a low dosage like 5mg. Then you complain it's not enough & you get 10mg. If that doesn't work they have 20 mg. You get 6 for 3 months, so the VA is telling you that you can attempt to have sex 2 times a month. I think it's better than Viagra, but could just be the dosage of Viagra was to low.

Thanks for the reply I guess I have to wait for the blood results and see what is going to happen. Is this condition considered sc secondary to ptsd or the effects of medications taken for treating ptsd.

Most medicatiations for PTSD within the VA are considered sedatives. Believe me, sometimes the doses are so strong or if the person is sensitive to the medication, you dont want to even come close to driving until you wake up fully. I know the dose I had/have (as we try other meds) is strong enough to keep me drowzy from night to about noon. Even then it starts to just start wearing off slowly. Then again, I have never drank coffee either....that might help me wake up.

Are you taking any medications to treat PTSD and do make you have ED, I feel ashame to even talk about this topic but I know that I am not the only one that haves this side effect and feels shame talking about it.
