0 SpinningWheelsInIndy
I have been through 4 different reps at the same office in a years time. Every time I call to speak with someone nobody knows what is going on with claims or appeals. When I finally got the courage to file for PTSD, the rep who i spoke told me that i was already rated at 70% so why did i want to file another claim, then he gave me a list of forms to fill out and ended up having me submit a form to increase all of my current disabilities at the same time I submitted a PTSD claim. i have never had a any proactive communication from the VSO office only reactive to my calls. Yesterday i received a denial letter from the VA for my PTSD claim and have been waiting all morning for a return call from whoever at the office. I feel i can do a better job with out relying on an organization who has receive my stipend and and no longer gives a damn about me or my VA fight. 0 MikeHunt
Unfortunately, the VA was started by the Legion and a guy named Chas Forbes, on the premise that politicians and taxpayers would never say no to something for Veterans. ... Forbes then robbed the taxpayers an Veterans blind. Everybody in your situation has 'won' off your service; VA bureaucracy, your POA, lawyers, the BVA, and Veterans' court all get a paycheck off a bad decision. You can bet Forbes is looking down, and smiling at what his babys become. I'd suggest reading, and reading some more. Writing letters helps- if the POA blew you off, tell whomevers above him. 0 HadIt.com Elder Buck52 Posted April 3, 2017 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted April 3, 2017 Just continue your claims alone..nothing says you have to use a VSO To Revoke Make copies and send in with sign certified return receipt and keep the receipt. It's always hard to revolke a POA unless you hire an attorney and then they do it. I still have DAV as my POA But their useless, so I just work my clams myself..VA sends them stuff but I still don't hear from them.
0 MikeHunt
Interesting story; i called a cong aid telling him how the VA threw out my claim. He insisted he knew what had happened: the POA had revoked the claim. It took some talking to convince him otherwise. Must happen often. Something to think about- i certainly have
