ptsd C&p Letter (Newbie)

Applied last year , for ptsd.. went to physc, and have heart problems, namvet 68-69. navy , riverboat squadron ,mekong delta, (may have been exposed to AO) though i show no signs.

recurring sleep time dreams of events. Daytime thoughts also of certain things in country, cant handle loud noise, watchful around my home,(installed cameras). outbursts of anger.

Been through 3 marriages, alienated my sons,drinking problems, (stopped now for sometime) sorry for rambling,,,my question is, what can i look forward to with this letter i just got about a c&p and auditory exam. any help will be appreciated..later ryd..

You sound like a Brown Water veteran and if you have Ischemic Heart disease, you should claim it under the new AO presumptives.

If the C & P was done at a VAMC, you can request a copy of it from them when it is typed up.

thanks for that info, i have not been to any v.a. hospital yet, this is the first time since application the v.a. has contacted me about my ptsd, and now with this new info on riverine and herbicides i hope they know of this survey/?

i am totally new to this and trying to get some info, as to what is going on...i hope the doctors and staff are going to do the right thing with my situation, i have supplied them with my private doctors records and cardiologist reports, etc.

The last time the v.a. contacted me was about 2 months ago,,and told me they LOST my previous medical records i sent them, i guess they got new ones now that i am scheduled for this c& p and auditory..thanks for your reply. ryd

If you have IHD or CAD get your treatment records from Private Doctors and keep them as evidence.

As a Brown water AO sailor You should get expeditious treatment.

We have an old Hadit member who was a Brown Water sailor and he contributed a lot of good info here. He is still very respected within the Advocacy community.
