Thanks Bronco,  I think we are going to have too now.  Just talked to a guy at amc,  and he said they are holding up the increase in diabetes, until the remand is done.  I thought he would get the back pay and they would start paying him, the 10 percent extra in his ck now.  But I thought wrong.  We still have not heard a thing on the remand.  Now they are the one that suggested iu, but I bet they will only go back to the Aug 16th date, like they have done with the diabetes. So do you think if we go ahead and file it back to the date nov of 12 is when original claim was filed.  Now he was only at 50%.  But if they rate the 20% increase in dB and rate the kidney at 60.  Will they then qualify him for iu.?  Maybe we need to call the attorneys and let them figure it out.  Now if we file any other claims will they hold them up too?  That is what hubby has always been afraid of.   Took him to retina spec. Yesterday and he may have to have surgery on his eye, because they think it is bleeding in the back.

  3. He was @already rated at 20 for diabetes and increased to 40.  At the same time he had filed a claim for diabetic neurophropathy ( kidney disease). Secondary to diabetic.  At that time he had not filed a claim for cads.    He filed that in 2014 and was awarded 60.  Which that would have made him at 80’ and qualify for I U.  So they are relating it to cads instead of diabetes. And  they have remanded it back to Cheyenne.  Now the increase to diabetes was on July 13.  So will they go ahead and pay back pay on that, while they are working on the remanded IU.?  Hope I did confuse you.  It all confuses us.

  4. Ok they gave hubby a 20% extra on his on diabetes, remand kidney disability and they are linking it with his cads.  Because that is what he has 60% for now.   Remand on iu, which they want him to file for.   they did this on the 13th of July.  So should they start to pay him for that?  They are not showing increase on ebennies.  We found out per his Vso.  I’m assuming since it is not on ebennies it will probably be another month.  Or will they hold that up and wait for the Iu to be approved or disapproved.?  His remand is in Cheyenne Wyoming.  His regional office is St. Pete.

  5. We just found out, instead of going back st. Pete, it went to Cheyenne, Wyoming.  They have some kind of program going where they help each other.  But other than that we have not heard anything.   They granted an increase on diabetes and remand renal disease and tdiu.  So I understand the increase has to be rated.  So does that mean we will not get back pay on that increase, until they finish the remand?   We are more tired military.  All this is confusing.  Going to call Wyoming and see if they have sent anything out yet.  My mail has been coming so late.   And we don’t get as much  junk mail now.  I have worked at a post office yrs ago, where the carrier got caught dumping mail in a trash dumpster, where he thought would not be found.

  6. Even though we had wavier, for decision be made at bva.  The docket number is14-41 036A.  From what I understand they want the ro to make decision if renal failure is due to cads.  It is like they are totally over looking that we filed it has secondary to Diabetes, because hubby was not diagnosised withcads until 2013,and va granted it in July of 2014.he was diagnosised with renal failure in 2011.??  that is the reason for filing secondary to diabetes.  Let me know what you all think.  And hubby did not file for iu,but now they are telling him to?  What are his chances.

  7. Thee thing I feel the va is totally ignoring, is we submitted this claim for ckd/renal insuffiency, as secondary to sc diabetes. They are trying to relate it to cads.  Hubby has had diabetes since 1998.  They say and it was granted in 2001.  I need to get that corrected, by callin Little Rock Ro.   But he was diagnosised with ckd in 2011.  He was diagnosised with cads in 2013.  Now he had the aortic valve problem since 2008, and we did put a claim in for that as secondary to diabetes.  It was denied.  I’m wondering if the surgeon would have different opinion on wether the valve problem and cad are linked together.  But I don’t know if this needs to be brought up that he had diabetes yrs to do this damage, but was diagnosised with the cads after he was diagnosised with ckd.  I’m confused here.

  8. They gave hubby 20% increase in diabetes.  Which he was at 80, so it brings him to 90, so how long does it usually take ebenefits to catch up and show on the AB8?  They made decision on the 30th of May.  They are only paying it for tw yrs.  it is not going back to the Jan of 12 when we filed it.  Their reasoning was that in 2012 the our doctor put down that , he was on insulin, restricted diet, and limited mobility.  And theva dr said he was not on a diet.  Spouse he could tell that from just looking.?  And then when it went to bva we had our drs. Write up a letter, that said hubby was on restricted diet, insulin, and restricted activities.  So as not to drop his sugar too low.  And that was sent in 2016.  So that is why they chose to only give him the increase from 2016.  The dr also put down he was unable to work due to his service connected disabilities.  And that is why they are telling hubby to put in for iu.  That along with ckd has been remanded back to amc or original ro that made the initial decision.  So we are not sure who has it yet.  We are waiting on someone to contact us.  And send us forms for iu.  Does that necessarily mean they will approve iu.  But the two yrs retro should not be that hard to figure out.  10% for 2 yrs.    and we will ask for reconsideration for the increase to go back to 2012.  What do you guys think?

  9. Even 200 hundred days is along time!  After someone has been waiting for yrs not days.  If you get an atty, does it move it any faster?  If you contact your congressman does that moved it any faster?.  And if you did not request a hearing but for it to be taken care of at bva and they still remand it back, to the incompetence that denied it in the first place.  I’m sorry to vent.

  10. Hit is not really my decision it is his.  I think he is going to accept the date of aug 16.   What the heck is the difference in limited mobility and restricted activity.  And I believe with at the time he was having real problems with the aortic valve and I assume the ihd to.  As Berta said he did not get to 60 percent 𝓘𝓶𝓶𝓮𝓭𝓲𝓪𝓽𝓮𝓵𝔂. He was failing and etc. had a pulmonary embelism in 11.  We have not got the letter from them yet.  this is what the Vso told us.  So I think all the Vso does is right the one letter?  Now if we ask for the date go back to nov 12, does that mean they will not start the monthly raise at 90 percent?  I’m trying to understand all this.

  11. Did talk to Vso and they approved claim for increase to diabetes but only back to aug of 2016.  We filed claim in oct of 2012.  The denied it from 2012 back  because of the wording our dr put  down in was, “patient on insulin, and restricted diet, and limited mobility.   And the one he put down in, they say aug 16.  Because that is the one that our family dr wrote, “ patient on insulin and restricted diet and restricted activities.  Which to me they mean the same thing.   Should we ask for reconsideration on the effective date?  Because I think they are screwing him.  Now they remanded the renal disease also.  And the tdiu was also remanded.  Now hubby did not file for the iu, but the Vso says they, the va, is sending him the form to fill out for the iu.  So we will see.

  12. Well, he is already at 20% for diabetes, we are asking for increase because she is on insulin. Slow acting and quick acting.  He has been a diabetic since 98.  Even before he got out of service in 92 he had some high sugar levels.  Same goes for blood pressure, but they have not diagnosised him with high blood pressure, although he has been on by meds for along time.  So he was diagnosed with the diabetes first,  these had the valvular heart disease, then the diabetic nephrology.  An then ihd in 2013..  so I’m not sure.  How they will see it but I see diabetes being the culprit that has caused or arrgavated everything else.  I think that as for diabetes can manafest any time after being exposed to agent orange and also the ihd.  And all these other are caused by the diabetes
