Yes have had a sleep study, I do were a CPAP mask and it was all discovered while being diagnous for PTSD with depression and anixity. Thanks for your comment

I put a claim in for sleep apnea back on 3/15/2012 was denied on 7/10/2012, letter of disagreement was received by ro on 7/16/2012. Today my appeals was denied a/o 3/27/2013. I was sent va form 9 and a form called optional appeal hearing. Here is my question, now that I have been denied my claim and appeal should i now continue to the BVA by returning these forms with my reason as to why I have live with this problem for many years. I remember my team always complaining about my snoring when I was over sea. I thought i just was a hevey snorer I never heard of sleep apnea till i was diagnous by the va with a sleep study. They say they have no record of me having sleep apnea in service, dear god I never new what sleep apnea was let along go to sick bay. For many years I live with it till i was diagnous with PTSD. Betwwen my snoring and nightmares and tossing turning all night my wife just could not take it any more, so for years I sleep in another room. My kid when they lived home would hear me though the walls. I feel I had sleep apnea even though I did not know it and was made worse by my PTSD. Should I send these forms in tell them my story and hope for the best.????? all over again but this time to the BVA.

Thank you so much, was fully diagnosis in November 2012 for medication given to me back on 6/2010. Worked itself slowly . Cannot live with them medication cannot live without them, PTSD meds have good and bad effects cannot have everything.

One more question, if I do get this SMC-k how far back does it go. Do they go back from date of claim, or do they go back to the date I started tskinmg the drugs in high doses the c&p doctor came right out and said it " its because of the medication you are taking" and put it on the report while I was sitting there. Its no EZ talking to a female doctor bvut she was real informative and understanding.

I put and in for ED on a fully developed claim form on 1/2/2013 secondary to ptsd. Was call on Saturday to make an appointment for my C/P . My appointment was made for Monday the 4th of March which I attended. The doctor looked at my Meds and saw I was taking anti depresion pills for 3 years in high dose and ask me many questions.. The exam went well 30 min or so. Doctor came right and said the ED was from medication. Here my question how do they rate this smc? or % ??? Doctor said its all up to rater, he just writes up the cause. Thanks

Went to ebenefits looked on right hand side fine nothing that talks about letter generator. I do fine letters for Fed service. employment credit, how much ypu get monthly etc but no deposit. Did go to direct depost site shows all deposits made up until 6/29/12 nothing after that. Is this letter generator fron the RO office ?????????????

I have not recevied anything in mail. Can I fine an answer in the letter generator???????? Call 800 could not help me after waiting 1hr. Hoe long after this close status shows up do I get something. Thanks gulfvet he has the letter from VA docter, sleep study results, and 2 articles. He is 30% ptsd and 2 PH, lets see what happens will let you guys know. Thanks again.

Thank you all so much for your comments, I will keep you informed. The lawyer still saids its a new thing that they are giving those ptsd case who meet the requirments of Sleep apnia, who knows but again thanks and you guys are the best.

Thank you all for nyour replys, believe it or not he got this from his lawyer, he is an viet nam guy like me. He has ptsd and waqs denieed sleep apnia and gotim self a lawyer she called him told him they are approving sa for vets secondary to ptsd who have shown symptoms and use a cpap. Maybe a rumer but I thought it mite be of some use. Again thanks for your replys and if I find anything else I will be sure to inform the board.

A friend just called me and said that the VA is now approving claims for sleep apnia due to PTSD??? this was told to him by his attorney, does any one hear of this ?????

Will be having a C&P exam at bay pines on saturday 2/11 for my right leg injured in 1967 from explosion, thrown in air landed on sided walk with slight limp and have had on going pain since that time. siatic nerve, neck and ear problem. can anyone tell me what to expect at C&P or is there a check list for leg injury. TIA I have med record for treament at the time but being young was happy I was alive and never did anything about the pain except take pain killers, tyneol,cortison shots, massage etc, but now as Iam older it really does me in. Any advice would be helpful.
