  1. I completely understand the feelings about Orientals. Not all of them make me uncomfortable, but, some do and I can't explain why. I have a great deal of respect for all people as we are all equal in God's eyes. This must be a residual effect of the things we saw and participated in during the police action in Viet Nam.

If your gut feeling tells you something, you should listen. It makes no difference whether it is right or wrong. It is a matter of your ability to open up with one person or the other. Your gut will move you in the right direction every time.

  2. My FDC is at Review of evidence and has been for 4 months. It also shows 5103 is overdue, so I called. The 5103 has been added and if I look at Evidence recieved it shows they have it too.

I am waitng for the Preparation for Decision phase to kick in now.

Do I read this right? All required evidence is there to move my case forward. Sounds like a rare positive note to me.

  3. .
I would like to know when I might expect a C&P exam for any or all of these. I would have thought C&P info would be needed evidence and be done at 'Gathering Evidence' stage.

Review of Evidence is explained as all evidence required has been provided (or words to that effect).

Current Status; REVIEW OF EVIDENCE, (Been stuck at this phase for 4 months.)

    FDC Claim Began; 03/28/2013

    Projected finish; 01/13/2014 to 07/19/2014

    Increase for current 10% Sinusitus

    PTSD Diagnosed by VA Phsyciatrist

    Hearing Loss

    Tinitus

  4. VBA decision makers have the authority to decide if a C&P is needed to develop the claim/issues.

They provide specific instruction to the examiner and arrange to have an exam

    scheduled.

I'm sure one can REQUEST a C&P, it may or may not be scheduled.

Personally, I'd go get a supportive IME/IMO - completed DBQ if applicable

and submit it in person to my VARO and leave with a date stamped copy.

    JMHO

IME/IMO don't know what that is.

    DBQ ditto,

The VA Pshycologist is the one who said I have PTSD. She noted my stressor in a report and she wrote it all in my file too.

I was told if I submit any Evidence it will move me backwards in the system to 'Gathering'.

I suppose I am just nervous like everyone else here while I get passed from in-box to out-box and nothing happens. Or so it seems to me.

Knowing some bearocrat has my future in thier hands and they know nothing about my needs other than what is allowed to be reported on forms is really just making us just someones paperwork instead of humans.

    • Ebenefits says that I have to Write to the Records Center but does not provide a form or address.

I cannot find how to copy my C-File from the RO.

Sorry if I am difficult, it is a big jump from a dial phone to a computer for me.

  5. No problems for me, I just got out a minute ago.

Date of Claim Estimated Claim Completion Date How claim completion dates are estimatedClaim completion date ranges are estimated based on statistical analysis of average processing times for each Regional Office and type of claim.
The minimum estimated completion date is determined by adding your Regional Office's average claim processing time to the claim start date. The maximum estimated completion date is determined by adding your Regional Office's average claim processing time and the standard deviation to the claim start date. Please note that the average time to complete a claim may exceed the maximum estimated processing time, in some cases by many months, due to unique circumstances for each specific claim.

  6. After reviewing my DD214's I found a reference to a Article 15 I recieved in 1969. I was gone for the weekend and ended up with the Flu. The Air Force Base told me to stay put at my Aunt's house and not to worry. Still got a Art 15 for AWOL anyway.

Then immediately sent to Viet Nam.

I thought Non-Judical Punishment was not to be recorded in service records. I thought they were held by the Unit only.

    Anybody else have these things?

  7. The 5103 is just a formality letter they will send to make sure you have all your evidence in to them. If you add new evidence it moves you backwards.

My FDC was started 8 months ago and I am in 'Review of Evidence'. Been ther for 3 months. Time depends on how busy the office is in your State. My State (Washington) average time line is 15 months.

You can speed it up if you are out of work by adding documents to prove it. I don't know exactly how that works but my Representative mentioned it.

  8. These Folks who are rude and condensending forgot what we would do those types in a war zone stuation.

In Nam we would roll a smoke grenade in thier hooch as a reminder not to be a dick. Worked every time too. Squared away a Butter Bar and a First Sgt in one night.

We had no Race issues or any other kind of inter personnel problems. We were busy protecting each other and staying alive.

My son is 40 now and asked me what I fought in Viet Nam for. I told him it wasn't for God or Country or Flag..it was for the person beside me in Combat.

  9. I found that out about secure messaging.

Do they also document appointment requests and the reasons.

I ask because I am having problems and have requested my Phsyciatrist make an appointment. She sent me one for 3 months from now. Probably too late to help but I will keep it anyway.

My Employer told me in confidence that my job is 'going away'. He will not put it in writing so I can't speed up my Claim without proof.

Really in a pickle cause I don't want to tell my Wife and catch hell, so as with everything I have to keep my mouth shut and take it. It just keeps getting better every day eh?

  10. I don't know if it is new or not, but , I found a way to go directly to myhealthyvet from Ebenefits site without logging in to myhealthyvet.

I also found a way to write in past Military Medical issues on Myhealthyvet that are not currently listed. For example it did not show the Surgery on my Ears I had in Nuremburg in 1973. I also had Surgery on my Sinus's in 1981at Loma Linda. Or that I was shot in the thumb in Viet Nam and refused a Purple heart in 1970. Medics in the field did not keep records, only if you needed to go to the rear area was it noted.

I would have been embarrased to get an award for that with my brothers suffering REAL wounds.

Don't remember all the hoops/links I took to get there but I am sure I can do it again as needed. Just hack around and see what links take you to where.

If everyone already knows this I will feel like a real dummy!
