  1. Check ebenefits, my claim moved to "Pending Decision Approval".. Its been a long time coming, so I guess its a good time to be a little more patient. Guess I'll go find that book to read, and try not to think to much!! All the best to everyone with your claims and thank you for your service!!
  2. My claim for Tinnittus, and Ptsd finally moved today. It went from gathering evidence to Prep for a Decision. I had C&P on February 18. I saw the tinnitus report and that looks good, and late last night I saw ptsd report, and that looked good as well. Im trying to figure out how to print just the ptsd report and not the whole file. I hope it doesnt take another 3 months to move to the next step, so I will get a big book and start reading!! I need to stay busy and not get stressed out waiting. Patience is not one of my virtues!! I will keep everyone posted of any movement. Iwish everyone all the best, and speedy decisions on everyone's claims. I have learned so much from everyone on this forum.. Thank you for your help and encouragement. !! Greg
  3. Thanks SCPO...I appreciate your words and insight. I wish you all the best with your claims, and like you I am going crazy for the results. Patience is certainly not one of my virtues, or could that be one of my symptoms.
  4. When I had my PTSD C&P evaluation last week, after the ptsd part was done, she had me do a "Beck Depression Evaluation. It was over 320 questions and took about an hour to do. I looked at my records at myhealth to see if anything was in my records for the ptsd exam..(none posted), but this Beck Depression evaluation was there. The range for this is 0-63, with anything over 29 considered to be "severe depression" . My score was 52...so not only severe but also at the high end of the scale. My question: is anyone familiar with this test ? Will the results play any part in the rating process? In otherwords, does this test mean anything other than telling me what I already know ? Or is this one tool the Dr will use in report to RO? Thanks........greg
  5. I am new to this site and this will be my first post. I am a Vietnam Veteran that served with the 101st from jan71-jan72. I am 30% SC for heart issues. Yesterday, I had C&P exams at Northampton VAMC for hearing, tinnitus and also PTSD. I pretty much know what to expect for the hearing exam, and I have agood idea as to what to expect for the PTSD part. The ptsd exam lasted 2 hrs...I left nothing off the table and told the Dr things I havent been able to talk about ever. I expect to see the report in a few days, but the Dr indicated to me that I me that her report would reflect PTSD at an extreme level. My question is...does the Regional Office always take the recommendation as written by the DR or are they inclined to put there own interpretation on things and possibly come in at a lower rating? I have been in the VA system for 14 years. All of my history is documented with the VA. I take my medicines, make my appointments, and have a good relationship with all of my Drs. I have enjoyed reading the posts on this site and listening to your experiences and how many of you have handled the many obstacles that are put in your path to get the compensation everyone seems to deserve. What impresses me the most though is...the support that eveyone gives to all the members of this site. I look forward to reading more from you and I wish everyone all the best. I thank all of you for your service!!!
