No not a dishonorable discharge and Pete I shall try and use that tommorow its in my access documents first thing I upload

i called tonight and was told that my discharhe on the 1800 number pulled up as honorable and that I could get this paperwork at the regional office (uh) does that mean my dd214 was/has been upgraded already? If so I may need to go to the regional office sadly the only one I can find for Georgia is in atlanta and im in valdosta thats like 300 miles away......

I was trying to get the veteran stamp on my driver license was told that having uncharacterized I could not get the stamp in georgia and that my dd214 needed to state honorable. Well I am rated as 100 pt honorable as far as the va is concerned I just dont have that on my dd214... I will let my vso help me figure this out... I do have the letter from my rating decision stating I am granted 100 percent. On my download file off ebenefits it states honorable. I also have my wife on champva and post privalege letter stating i can use the commissary. I was originally given 0 percent and was labled condition not disability which was changed thanks to the medical evidence I have and the candp examiner and raters notes. I have access to those documents if needed I can post them. I am just trying to get some help on changing updating whatever be the correct phrase so I can get my stamp on my driver license. I even have my alabama tags on 3 of my vehicles..

Aall I can find is that the only way to change dd214 is to send in a request to the branch of service review board. I have a vso now in valdos ta he is waiting on my dd214 to be sent to me through the mail. Told me based off what that copy says he will know what needs to be done.. Said its similar to being rated 10 percent and being awarded 100 percent.

8k cash down to 4k due to paying bills off and getting house in valdosta ga to rent hmm new bills and stuff out of 3k a month im down to roughly 500 i can save. Thats until parents can get jobs then more round 1k a month...

also to update i finally recieved my retro payment here a few weeks ago

If rated by the VA at 100 pt and was rated at 0 when discharged how do I get dd214/15 showing new percent and honorable when old dd214 from discharg shows uncharacterized and 0 percent.

Got a secured loan from a deposit from savings account. Also have a secured credit card line. I was told that having both of these will show positive on my credit profile in about a week or two I will post how they worked for or against me. I bought two vehicles with 11k and added them to my insurance.. Alstate is a bit expensive but yea that's besides the point switching to usaa insurance in two months. I mean 1k for 3 vehicles is crazy expensive 55 per vehicle per month.. 30k in savings + 12k in back up funds and 8k in cash.

Well I was finally awarded my retro here a few weeks back sorry haven't posted that bit of good news. I just been too busy excited..

Just logged into the ebenefits website and now my claim shows as complete yet I still don't have the money deposited into my bank account?????? Is this weird or what it doesn't even show in the payment area that I got my retro

Some cases can be closed without the need of C&P if all the medical evidence is there and provides the rater with enough evidence to approve and rate the case. Though it is more common for claims to have C&P's so the examiner can asses how the in service conditin is currently affecting you.

Damn well that is very nice, in a time of bad news here lately, I am glad that people are still winning cases and being given what they rightfully deserve.

Why ask dumb questions.....this is the VA what can we expect? There is no "dumb" questions. The thing that I can suggest is keeping accurate notes of everything done either by you, your vso, and even the va.

Damn so that is indeed success. I am not sure if it's true but I was told that retro only goes back 5 years? Or does it go all the way back to the initial claim if the claim stays open like it has here?

Though, my wife has been my fiducary that doesn't help with release of funds sort to speak lolol.... I swear the va will do anything they can to hold onto your retro payment.

So far no luck. I mean seriously. Award Generated on the 17th... 5 days. I would expect computer programs to be a lot faster than this.

Hmm so if my hospital bill is say 3k try and see if I can get it paid off for like 1.5??

This is an Iris Response does this mean that WITHIN 14 days I should have my pay??? I know that the us treasury is not open on weekends so thinking it will be here on a weekend is silly of me.

Woot system maintaince tonight normally my claim is always processed during the system maintances.

My backpay claim is now in the prep for notificaton phase and I got this letter in my emaill: Award Generated on 06/17/2014. Award should be released within the next 14-days. Is there a number to the treasury I can call to see exactly when this will be released?

Got news that I should have my back pay within 14 days. That would be nice but not counting on it since it has been on hold up for so long and every time I get my hopes up it doesn't reach the bank.....lol.
