Yes! I have been screwed to the wall by c&p doctor's report. I overcame it. You get an IMO/IME to overcome these bogus C&P exams. The raters do tend to go with the C&P exam doctor's opinion if you have no other newer evidence.

Did you formally claim both the PTSD and the depression as due to your service?
VA will only rate one MH disability for comp.It pays to claim any theory for a basis of entitlement.
Is the depression (documented via private treatment records) due to the PTSD or to your stressor?
With 70 % SC now, are you able to work?
Can you give us a breakdown of what the 70% is for?
Can you raise other theories of entitlement in addition to the PTSD claim, that perhaps another SC has caused the depression?
Then again, if you have the VA DX (which you do) of PTSD, and a provable stressor...I would think VA could consider all of the private depression treatment records you have, as due to the PTSD.
Have you gone to our PTSD forum here? The PTSD criteria changed in 2010.
DO you get SSDI and is it solely for SC disabilities? Or for a potential SC disability such as the depression or PTSD?
