  1. First of all i want to say THANK YOU  THANK YOU  THANK YOU to everyone on this forum.  Today i received the BWE it used to be known as the BBE.  I learned i was granted  60% Service Connect for Prostrate Cancer and Loss of Use.  But to Ms. Berta and many many others on here I owe it all to you.  And remember NEVER EVER GIVE UP and keep on pushing.  I did, Thanks again to all.  Still fighting for 100.   Roadrunner

  2. News article in USA today titled VA shortcomings prolong vets. suffering.  It's about Vets being misdiagnosed at the VA medical center in Oklahoma.  Things that most of us already know about.  But as my title says HERE WE GO AGAIN.  Question, how many more will it take before they get their s--t together.  Good information but sad reading.   Thanks to all who have served.  We deserve Better.  Happy Holiday to all and god bless.  Roadrunner.

  3. Wow asknod I was at Udorn when they built those barns. I was in the 11th. T.R.S. photo processing trailer.  My hooch was in the back row right on the fence line on the eastern side of the base, just about where the sappers came in.   We called the food vendors Howard Johnson's in reference to the food vendors on the turnpike, I remember some of us buying fruit from them.  They would hand it through the perimeter fence on long bamboo poles with basket at the end.  Sorry to drift, but back to the matter at hand.  I read your letter of support.  You hit the nail on the head with it.  If you don't mind I would like to copy it and give it to my VSO. But if you should object I'll understand, so please let me know.  SaWaDee Kop.  My friend Wendell lived on the first floor of one of those barns. He worked in the Airborne Command Center.  The C-130 that flew at night.  So many memories.  Thanks for the information and have a great day.

  4. Thanks to all of you for the info. and links.  I found the 3-D map of Udorn last night while surfing the net.  Wow I appreciate all of the replies.  Looks like I've got a lot of reading to do.  And yes Buck52 I used to watch the T-28 with their special markings take off everyday, along with the Jolly Greens going North to Alaska.  I worked in the Precision Photo trailer for the 11th. T.R.S. at the far northern end of the base, it was called the Yellow Submarine section, because they had taken a drop tank painted it yellow and placed it atop one of our trailers.
