  1. Filed a claim for LOU of lower extremities because my s/c disability is causing for me to have LOU. My civilian doctor placed me on a daily home exercise program as part of physical therapy ( my wife is going to supervise it and the clinic is going to do follow ups twice a month) since I cannot afford to pay for physical therapy on a daily basis and the va clinic in my city is cannot provide it to me. Should I file for a fee basis card and what are the requierments to get one. Need advice
  2. I finally placed a claim for loss of use of lower extremities since my s/c disability is making me have LOU. I also went to see my civilan doctor and informed her of what was going on so she decided to place me on a daily home exercise for my lower back, hips and legs and for to be supervised by my wife since tha VA clinic in my home town refused to do one because of liability and they also cannot provide me physical therapy on a daily basis.
  3. If you have a disability that is service connected but that disability is causing you to have LOU of an extremity, can you claim the LOU secondary to the original s/c disability?
  4. I am suppossed to get some procedures at the VA and I am scared to do them because of fear of getting injured by them. A couple of weeks ago my VA doctor called me at home to tell me to quit taking my medication for my cholesterol because it was harming my muscles after two years of taking this medication and complainning about muscle pain I finally found out what was and still causing chronic muscle pain.
  5. Question? IF you have a s/c that causes you to have loss of use of an extremity, can that be used as secondary to the condition which is already s/c and is causing you to have LOU.
  6. What if is LOU of both lower extremities, would that get you an "L"?
  7. Question. A vet recieaving A&A for a s/c that is 100% and haves LOU of any extremity, is that considered another L? That means you will get "O"?
  8. Interesting information. Will the VA pay you for 2 L's for different s/c. And if it does where will it place you in the pay chart.
  9. Can somebody explain what are the criterias that a vet needs to meet in order to get a higher level of A&A.
  10. Has anybody on this forum been reffered by their doctor to have a Home Exercise program (Physical Therapy) due to medical problems.
