  1. It is a shame that there haves to be a war in order for all these things to come out, when I was in the service I lived in some old barracks and the post command did not even care. I feel for all these veterans and the military should be ashame of the conditions these veterans are having to endure after going to fight a war that up to this day has not been worth the sacrifice they have given.
  2. I am going to take my chances with a DRO, I feel that is my best chance. When to talk about my c-file do you mean a copy of my medical records or a file that the RO keeps with all my claims. I am confused on this c-file.
  3. When I filed my NOD I was hoping to get a c&p exam but it nevered happened. Instead I got a letter from the va informing me that I can ask for DRO or the traditional process in order to resolve my claim. All my old claims that I haved filed in the past I have been given a C&P exam but this is the second time. I want to go through the DRO so he can see in person of what I am talking about but due to my past experience I do not want to drive for 2 hours and go through what I went in the past. But I also feel that if I go through the traditional process my claim is going to be denied. p.s. I do not have a copy of my C-file, how can I get a copy of it?
  4. Sorry to sound silly but what is novo review and how do you go by getting this done.
  5. This condition is pretty much like secondary to a service connected condition. How does the trditional process works instead of a DRO. I am ina dilema I do not know if I should go with the DRO or should just do the traditional process. The reasom I am stating this is because the last time I tried going in front of a DRO I had a runin with one of the head honcho drom the DAV and I do not want to go through that again. Any advice will be helpful.
  6. When I did my taxes I just reported my ssd not my va pension, am I going to get a rebate check my income was more than 3,000.00.
  7. Maddog66 I feel that you should not quite participating on this forum, we are all here to help each other and not to fight among us. All those veterans that were in this scam should be prosecuted to the extend of the law, they are a discrace to all of use that have served or country. On the other hand I feel for those pilipino soldiers that served during WWII they should also get their benefits but I find that is going to be a hard road ahead because if we american veterans have a hard time imagine what it is going to be for them.
  8. I was just wandring, is the VA not doing any more c&p exam for claims? A while ago I put in a claim and it denied so I went ahead and filed a NOD, today I recieaved a letter from the VA asking if I wanted to resolve my claim through a DRO or a regular or the traditional way. This is the second time this is happened to me were they do not send me to have a c&p exam for my claim. Has anybody been through this or this is the new way of the VA processing claims.
  9. I also do not like talking about politics maybe I should have not said what I said, I do not want anybody on this site to get mad at me again sorry if I offended anybody.
  10. I want to make my self clear before anybody gets the wrong impression of what I am stating. I am talking about civilians that have never served one day in the military.
  11. I cant help it but to throw in my two cents and I hope nowbody gets offended with what I am about to say, First of all we need to thank all those folks that voted not once but twice for a individual that has done nothing for veterans or the poor people of this country for the past 8 years. Belieave me I know what I am talking about, when he was governer of texas he did nothing for the people of Texas. So when I hear people complainning about what is going on in this country I feel like asking them if they voted for him than they deserve what they are getting.
  12. Called my civilian dr to give me a refferal to see a Rheumatologist that way I can out what else is wrong with me.
  13. First ? Are you s/c for loss of use of lower extremities? Second ? what is DMII? And finally I thought that Bush extended the cut off date until 2011? Sorry for so many questions.
  14. Hope you do not mind if I ask you what is causing you to loose the use of your legs?
  15. Thanks for everybody's input on this topic, I am going to call my civilian doctor and ask her to send me to see a specialist because in my heart I feel not only is FMS is affecting my legs but there must be something else. I have seen the va rheumatologist and neurologist and belieave me they are a joke all they say that it is my FMS. If I do not do something I will end up in a wheelchair and that Is the last thing my wife and I want to.
  16. I had an EMG done at the VA which stated that I have mild sensory neuropathy. i do not know if that his also contributing to my problem. What does PAD stand for. My va doctor mentioned that I should contact medicare and see if she writes a prescription for a wheelchair will I be able to get one through medicare. I guess I need to call them to see what they say. Buy the way I have never had a back injury nor I have diabettes that what I now so far.
  17. LIving with this is hell, there are days that I cannot walk because of the pain and stiffness in my knees and snkles. My doctor at the va states that it is my Fibrom. that is affecting my legs but I feel that it must be something else along with the Fibrom. She wants to issue me a wheelchair but the physical therapy dept. does not want to give it to me, since when does a physical therapist oversees the authority of a doctor.
  18. I also take gababentien but it does not work for me, this syndrome can be very painful my doctor at the va noted in my records that I have decreased range of motion due to this syndrome.
  19. Has anybofy on this site been diagnosed with having Fibromyalgia and if so are experiencing chronic pain in your lower extremities.
  20. I do have medicare but I feel that I should not have to pay neither medicare for something that is sc and that is the responsibility of the VA. Thanks for the advice
  21. What happens if the VA refuses to do so, the reason I say this is because the va clinic that I visit it is hard to get a consultation with the physical therapy plus for what I have been told is that the clinic I go to refuses to give you a home excersice program because they do not want to be liable for anything that happens.
  22. Went to see my Dr. in the private sector due to my chronic pain in my back and lower extremities due to my Fibrom. she requested that I have physical therapy on a daily basis through a Home Exercise Program to be done at my house through a home health services and monitor once a week. The [problem ius how am I going to be able to pay for these service.
  23. How do you write a claim for this condition?
  24. I have been taken citalophram for about three years for my depresion and ptsd, one of the side effects that I have is that I have loss interest and ability to perform. I been thinking about telling my Dr. but I feel embarresed to tell him. Do not know what to do. Please advice.
