I can imagine all these texas veterans who suffer from PTSD and had to go their for treatment or C&P exams the denials they probably got. Berta this a very interesting article it just shows how some people stick so low in order to screw veterans who have earned there benefits. I sometimes go to that facility for special care this makes me want to think about it twice before going there.

Sorry to hear your story, you are not the only one out there are thousands like you belieave me I know. The peolpe that work for the IRS are just doing there job just like any other person that have s a job. I have sympathy for some that have it hard but there is also some folks that just want to cheat and not pay there taxes those when caught I have sympathy for what they get.

First of all If somebody decides they don't care to pay their taxes or cheat the IRS is not my problem that is what they have inspectors in the iRS to do that. Second when I worked for the IRS all I got was my pay check for the job I was doing. people do not realize that when they decide to ignore the IRS what ever money they owe and feel like not paying or response to the letters send to them for every day that goes by interest and penalties are been assest to your acoount and soon or later they will find you and they are not going to like the way the IRS collects that money. I think that if you owe taxes you should pay it and not worried about the IRS breathing down your neck or keeping your tax refund when it is tax season.

I am sorry to say this but you are wrong people at the IRS do not get a commision for doing their job. I worked for the IRS for years before I had to quit because of medical conditions and I worked at the collection department and I never saw any commision.

rentaguy1 I have a question is it true that if you recieave a&a at the L rate and recieave another L for loss of use of an extremity that will put you at the R rate?

Welcome aboard I have been dealing with my claim for sleep apnea for 2 years denials and nod, so I am getting my hopes high on getting it sc.

Do you have any idea on how this is going to work. If it goes through are we going to get any retro for any property taxes back. Example if it takes effect on 1Jan09 and we have already paid taxes for that year due you think there will be a retro?

To all my fellow texas veterans, the way things are going with the economy I have a bad feeling that proposition 9 exemtion for property taxes will not even be passed.

The VA send me a letter to see if I wanted a meeting with a DRO, I spoke to my DAV rep. and he said to do it when I go to the meeting should I tell my rep. so when can request the rate or should I put in for it now?

Correct me if I am wrong but if you get a settlement from a lawsuit if the money is from lost wages than you have to pay taxes but if the money is from pain and suffering than I guess you don't.

I had to do mines at H&R block because my wife took out her money from an IRA that she had, the person said that if will go directly to the IRS.

THE REASON FOR MY ? I AM GETTING PHYSICAL AND OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY AT HOME PLUS A NURSE VISITS ME FOR ISSUES THAT ARE SC BUT THE VA IS NOT PROVIDING THESE SERVICES TO ME BECAUSE THEY ARE A SMALL CLINIC AND THEY DO NOT HAVE THE STAFF.

What about if you are getting service at home by a physical and occupational therapist because the va cannot provide these services to you were does that put a vet at?

When you say licensed medical profesional, what kind of services you are talking about?

what are the requierments to get the R1 and the R2 a&a. I have read the req. for the higher level of a&a but how does the the va determine which R does a veteran gets?

I agree with you 200%. I have been very grateful at the way the va has treated me and my family . I use to see my va doctor 4 times a year but know I only see her twice a year and if it is because these new veterans need to go to the va I have no problem with that.

I am happy for you and your family its a shame when poor state offer more benefits to veterans than these rich states that are so cheap dam politicians always thinking about themselves.

I was wodering if you saw the news and was able to see for your self the conditions these barracks were in and by the way the barracks they were talking about were built during the Korean war. I have a feeling that you probably had an easy job and had great barracks too bad I can not say the same for me and probably others.
