GiRn got a reaction from vetquest in Can a Veteran be "kicked out" of the VA health care system?
I ran into a similar issue. Got a threatening email from my assigned IM physician, that if I didn't make an appointment she would have me "dis enrolled" from the VA system. I do receive meds and treatment from the Mental health side of things. But no type of meds or treatment from the medicine side. It for the lack of better terms pissed me off that a Doc would send such email. I am a retired ER RN, I went to the Patient Relations Staff and showed the Email. After a few phone calls found out the bottom line it comes down to funding. The more vets on the rolls the more money they get. They removed me off the clinics rolls. I receive all of my other care from private providers. As a side note I did my clinicals back in 1980s and the experienced so changed me I will never be a inpatient there....

He did more than question Berta's knowledge.  He said that since she's not a veteran, she doesn't know what she's talking about.  OK RU, how many disabled veteran spouses does a wife have to lose before she has the right to say something here?  Who the hell do you think keeps things running when our vets are laid up or can't put one foot in front of the other for whatever reason?  Who took care of the kids, the schooling, holidays, homework, etc. while you guys were  deployed so you had something to come home to if you made it back home at all, something else that hung over our heads all the time?  Don't whine here about not knowing what you go through.  The fact that we spouses have had to almost become lawyers ourselves to protect our vets and our families is the reason we come here.  Just maybe, like Berta, we've picked up some valuable knowledge along the way that might help others.  That's what we do here.  We help others, we don't tear them down and demoralize them.  This BS about "you're not a veteran, you don't know what we go through...." is unacceptable.  And one more thing -- for God's sake, get a dictionary or learn how to speak in complete sentences.  I need an interpreter to make sense of most of your posts, and the ones I can understand, lately anyway, are void of any constructive or productive thought.

I Thank everyone for the input. I'm going to the clinic tomorrow for the eye exam & will talk to a patient contact rep about improving the "kicked out" term to something better.

Thanks for all of the replies and advice. I contacted Attig by filling out a consultation requests. I know they're busy, but I gave them a deadline to contact me. Did not even receive an acknowledgement from them. I did however, receive several emails telling me about how great their firm is and to buy their ebooks. I know firms are busy, it's frustrating enough for Veteran's having to wait years for the VA to respond, it's equally frustrating to feel like you're treated by some firms, the same way the VA treats us.
I will contact some other firms, who want my business and care about helping me above whether or not I'll be a cash cow for them... Nothings free, but everyone deserves to be treated with value...

Your remand notice from the CAVC should have noted the shortcomings that provided the basis for the remand.  The Court normally spells out what needs to happen next.  You can also provide additional evidence, like a medical opinion, if you choose.  My husband's appeals have been to the CAVC several times, so we have a little experience in this area.  Good decision to have a lawyer representing you at the CAVC.  I think that once an appeal gets that far, veterans should not try to handle their appeal themselves.
